After a small misadventure trying to buy yams (we accidentally got Russet potatoes instead of yams) we successfully baked up some yams and fed them to Sophia for the first time tonight. SHE LOVED THEM!!! She didn't even make her usual "yuck" face at the first bite. She has made this face with the first bite of every solid we have tried each time we have given it to her. Yams, however, seem to be a hit and she gobbled them up like crazy. We followed up with some cereal mixed with the left-over in her bowl because she kept wanting more, even! She's still doing really well on all her solids, although the green beans seem to have given her some gas so we won't be doing too many days of those in a row again like we had to at first to check for a reaction.
Mom and dad came to stay with us last Friday through this morning and it was so great having them around. They were able to keep the little one at home with them the first three days of this week and get some quality time inso that was nice for all three of them. We sure are going to miss them, though. Hopefully the winter goes quickly and its not too hard on us having them gone for the next six months!
Okay, Sophia's getting mad, better go!
