After a rough afternoon at daycare and an extremely fussy and clingy night last night we took Sophia to see Dr Rinderknecht first thing this morning (yes, its a perk of working at the clinic). Her ears are still looking extremely good, although he did have to remove some wax in one before he could check it out, and her lungs are clear. Final consensus, Sophia has her first sinus infection. We started her on amoxicillin today (the bright pink bubblegum kind) and Dr R said it usually takes about 3-4 days before you start seeing real improvement. She'll be on it for ten days and so far does NOT like the taste, although the second dose was better than the first so maybe she will learn to like it over the next ten days.
So, that's our story of Sophia's first sinus infection. I thank God that it isn't something worse and we got it taken care of before it got any there. Here's to having our happy-g0-lucky baby back in ten days or so!!
