We are back from Sophia's surgery to get tubes in her ears and she is doing great. Dr Zlab said there was a lot of nasty fluid back there that he suctioned out, but that she should be good as new by noon today. She really is much happier than she has been in the last week and a half so we are already seeing improvement. We checked in at 6, surgery at 7, and were home and happy again by 8:00. And...........she started crawling about 8:30. She has been getting up on hands and knees and rocking for the last week or so, but this morning she took off. Brad kept saying she would start crawling once we got her ears fixed and apparently he was right. She is now crawling back and forth across the living room to get what she wants. It definitely will make life a little more interesting, though! Good thing we baby-proofed last weekend.
Thanks to all of you for your warm thoughts. We made it through exceptionally well and everyone at the surgery center just loved our little girl (of course!).
