After we got our work done we headed back toward Waukee for quick showers and a change of clothes so we could head downtown to surprise the kids with circus tickets. Even as we pulled into the parking lot of Wells Fargo we had them convinced that the semis with the Barnum and Bailey logs on them must be for next week. Once we got inside they caught on and were thrilled! Sophia absolutely loved the elephants and the dogs that did tricks while Collin was enthralled with the motorcycles and the double "wheel of death". You can clearly tell where our kids passions are based just on that! Collin tried his best to convince me to construct a globe so I could stand in the middle while he rode a motorcycle around me. Not happening, kiddo!

Once the circus was over we headed back to West Des Moines for dinner with Brad's parents and great aunt and uncle and then back home to meet his sister so the cousins could play while Alex performed in a marching band competition here in Waukee.
Since we weren't quite exhausted enough, after Sunday School and church this morning we headed down to Howell's for a few hours at the pumpkin patch! We ended up spending 3.5 hours there and made the rounds twice before leaving! The kids had a blast and picked out their perfect (very big) pumpkins. Both of them dozed off on the way home so as soon as we got home we got them in the bath and into PJs so we could eat dinner and watch a family movie. Tonight we picked The Wizard of Oz so they could get the scoop on their upcoming Halloween costume characters.
