Sophia started her second year of summer soccer through Grimes Park and Rec two weeks ago and its amazing the improvement she has made in a year's time. She still isn't the most aggressive, but if the ball is coming toward her she doesn't move out of the way. It seems she does better when playing with all boys as the one practice where she was the only girl she took off after the ball like it was her job and blocked some pretty tough kicks. I don't know if she gets distracted by the other girls or is just trying to be like them. Either way, she has fun and at this age that is what really matters!
