Milk Protein Intolerance

I spoke with the allergist's office this morning and all of Collin's allergy tests came back negative.  So, we have an official diagnosis of milk protein intolerance (MPI), which is what we figured it probably was all along.  The game plan from here is to allow him all foods except dairy, which we will try again when he turns 2.  We will keep an eye out for any reaction to soy, as dairy and soy intolerance go together a lot of times, but will not limit it unless we see an actual reaction.  I'm relieved that it isn't an allergy as generally intolerance doesn't get worse and he will most likely outgrow it eventually.  There is a chance that he won't outgrow it, but roughly 15% of all MPI kids outgrow it with each birthday so we will just try every six months and see where we are at.
