We also had a combination of six vehicles get stuck in front of our house throughout the course of the day. Three made it out within an hour, but three stayed put from morning to about 6 o'clock. They have since gotten two more out, but there is a poor car out in the middle of the road with a large snow drift over the hood--good luck to that motorist. And since it is firmly placed in the middle of the road that means we will have no plow service down that portion of the road. Thankfully we have a great friend who plows our drive for us who can hopefully get into our driveway and get us cleared out so Brad can go to work tomorrow morning. Poor guy was stuck working from home today and although we do have a pretty awesome home computer, it just doesn't match up with the one he has at work.
And now, for your viewing pleasure, some pictures taken throughout the day. It was very tempting to get little Sophia out into it to show you just how huge the drifts are, but I just couldn't do that to her. Hopefully by Friday or Saturday we can get out and actually enjoy it a bit!
Patio at 6:30 am................................ Front drift-goes from our drive to neighbors truck
Car #1 to get stuck ................................................Car #2 and the only one left as of 6:30
Car #3, which was out within an hour of digging........Car #4
All three cars as the sun was setting .............. Patio door around 4:00
And as I was loading those pictures one more truck got stuck and a plow attempted to come down the road and decided against it so turned around and ran! :-) Hope those of you in warm weather are enjoying it!!
Love,
LuCinda
