Time Flies

How time flies when you have a busy toddler in the house! Since my last update we have been very busy as usual. We made another trip to the pumpkin patch that included Brad and a very nice hay rack ride, made a trip back to Hospers for a nice long Thanksgiving weekend, and went to the Waukee Winterfest. We have also completely decorated for Christmas and are almost done Christmas shopping. Really, I was done Christmas shopping, but today Brad decided we should change the plan of not getting each other gifts and so now I must add him to my list.

During Winterfest we took a horse-drawn hay rack ride, which Sophia loved more than words can say. We also attempted to visit Santa. She was very excited the whole time we were waiting in line, trying to sneak into the gazebo to see him and even waving at him. However, when it was our turn and we went to sit down by him she lost it. Crying, begging, reaching for Daddy. Fortunately, Santa was very understanding and still gave her a nice little treat bag. We did get a picture to remember her first visit to Santa, but it isn't a very nice one! It was still a fun time and I hope to try again next year.

Up next for us is the Wenger family Christmas in Beaver this coming weekend, which the cousins have taken over. It has been discussed that Madison and Sophia will be wearing matching outfits again this year, although we did plan it this time, unlike last year when it was a complete coincidence!!
