Merry late Christmas to all of you!! We had a wonderful long weekend with lots of family, gifts, and fun. We started out with our traditional Christmas Eve service at church, then Christmas lights, and chili. Then we started a new tradition and let Sophia open one present that evening. She really got the hang of tearing those packages open this year, too! Friday morning we woke up to lots of snow and had a nice leisurely morning opening presents, eating a big breafkast, and lounging around the house. Mid-morning we started the debate on whether to head up to Storm Lake as originally planned or wait until Saturday. In the end we packed up and made the trek in the snow. It took a while, but it was definitely worth the trip. We spent the rest of the weekend swimming and spending time with the Beltmans. Our trip home went much faster and we got home in plenty of time to unpack and settle in for the evening.
Brad has been home this entire week and its been so nice to spend some time relaxing as a family. It does throw us off schedule, but its definitely worth it :-)
So here are some pictures and video of Sophia opening presents--enjoy!
