After a dip in weight last week and lots of work nursing, pumping, and supplementing with a bottle of pumped milk my little man is gaining weight again!! We went for his two week well visit with Dr Beebe this morning and he is up to 6 pounds 13 ounces. We'll have to be seen weekly until he is back at birth weight, but I'm happy with that gain for now! He had his best day yet yesterday eating extremely well, staying awake for slightly longer stretches, and then sleeping for a whopping 7 hour stretch at night. Lets all pray that the good sleep continues!
So, his stats:
Weight 6 pounds 13 ounces (43%)
Length 19.5 inches (22%) and also exactly the length Sophia was at 2 weeks
Head circumference 13.5 inches (23%)
Collin is still very much in newborn size clothing and diapers, with some of the clothes actually being baggy on him. His cord fell off Saturday and is healing up nicely. We are experiencing some dry skin, which Dr Beebe says is completely normal, but if its driving me crazy we can put some lotion on it. I'd like to say I'll just let nature take care of it, but lets be honest, he'll be getting a lotion massage tonight before bed! :-)
