Weight Check

Today we had Collin's one week checkup (a day early) and weight check.  He has started gaining back what he lost in the hospital and is up to 6 pounds 10 ounces.  Looks like he is going to be a slow gainer just like his big sister, but our pediatrician isn't worried as she knows our history and that my milk is definitely in so he's getting some good nourishment.  Our latch problems started back up today so if that doesn't correct itself through the course of the day I'll be making an appointment with the lactation consultant just to evaluate everything.  Dr Beebe did say his frenulum is just slightly short, but since he appears to be latching well we aren't too worried. We'll just keep an eye on things and make sure he continues to eat well and gain weight.  We head back in one week for his next checkup.
