Last week we got the opportunity to tour the Ankeny airport. Its much smaller than the airports we are used to, but that was perfect for a tour. We got to see inside a larger Learjet, sit in the pilot's seat of a four-seater Cessna, and watch a helicopter take off. Honestly, I think I had as much fun as the kids. The best part for me was that we found out that the company doing our tour offers flights around Des Moines for an extremely reasonable rate. Brad and I discussed possibly taking the kids up this fall to see the views!
