Ear Infection

When Collin was born we had Dr Beebe check out Sophia's ears at one of his first visits to see if her tubes were still in.  They were, but just barely.  Apparently they have come all the way out, though, as she has been fighting an ear infection for just about three weeks now.  Her ear is so sore now that she won't even let you put a shirt over her head without much screaming and panicking over it touching her ear.  She even skipped outside time at preschool today just to avoid putting her stocking cap on and having it touch her ear.  As traumatic as it was, though, we took her in to have a culture done on the drainage yesterday to hopefully pinpoint an antibiotic that will finally clear it up.  If that doesn't work its on to the ENT we go.  We have hopes that he will just be able to suction all the gunk out and keep her in the clear until spring, but its a possibility we will have to get a second set of tubes.  Boo ear infections! :-(
