When Sophia was little Brad and I decided that we would do our best to use proper terminology for body parts. It came up occasionally when she spotted Brad using the restroom, but really was never an issue until Collin came along. Then we explained that he had a penis, which she promptly started pronouncing as "peanuts". Too cute! She never really questioned that she didn't have a penis, but did continue to discuss his, eventually getting the right pronunciation.
That all changed last night, when Collin was crawling over her and she promptly shouted, "he headbutted me in my penis". We explained that she didn't have a penis. Of course, now she wanted to know what she did have so we told her a vagina. She then proceeded to try every possible pronunciation she could find, finally settling on "china". So now this morning she is all about talking about her "china". We have attempted to explain to her that its up to each mommy and daddy to teach their kids about it so she should only talk about her "china" in private, not in school, but I'm already waiting for the call from Miss Becki that Sophia was telling all the kids at school about their penises and "chinas". Oh joy, we have the potty talk kid!
