17 weeks

Yesterday we hit 17 weeks in this pregnancy.  It also happened to be my birthday!  I'm still feeling great, although I did notice today that my back is a little more sore.  Its quite possible that its just from the cleaning spree I went on this morning after being gone over the weekend and on strike for the first half of the week.  We are getting definite movement from Baby Bubbles now and Brad has even felt it a few times.  I can't wait until Sophia gets her first feel!

My birthday was great and very low key, which is exactly what I needed.  Sophia let me sleep in until 8 and then we got up and around for a playdate at the mall with some friends.  After that we had Brad meet us there for lunch and then headed home for naps.  Brad did surprise me after work with a gorgeous flowering plant, which was so sweet.  I used the evening to catch up on the internet and finish my most recent book, which I will review in a separate post.

This evening we took our church playgroup for our annual trip to the nursing home here in town to hand out Valentine's.  The kids had so much fun and the look on the older people's faces was just priceless.  I really do look forward to it every year!
