First Zoo Trip of 2011

Since we are having such amazing weather we took a trip to the zoo yesterday morning after running some errands.  Brad had the day off and was able to join us, which was a special treat.  The animals that were out were so active and right up near the fences and glass.  I think I was just as excited as Sophia was over that fact, too.  We have really missed the zoo this winter and can't wait to start going regularly again once the weather is consistently nice.  Rumor has it it will be 60 on Thursday, which is awesome.  Unfortunately, we're back to the 30s already on Friday with a chance of rain and/or snow on Sunday into Monday.  Oh well, I'll take what I can get right now!

Sophia hasn't let me put her hair into piggy tails since summer, but yesterday I convinced her to let me do it.  The end result was absolutely adorable and the length of her hair once again amazed us.  In commemoration of the event a snapped a couple pictures!

And looking at the pictures just reminded me.  Sophia is going through a phase right now where she MUST wear a tank top under all of her clothes just like Mommy does.  Unfortunately, she only has three tank tops and they definitely weren't meant to be undershirts.  She also wants to wear tank tops to bed each night (also just like Mommy).  Looks like its time for a little shopping.
